Another long week draws to a close at the Siren's household. One blog that always cheers me is Bois de Jasmin, my dear friend V.'s musings about the history and art of perfume. V., with the precision and discipline of the ballerina she still is, devotes each week to a certain subject. This was carnation week, and she wove in topics ranging from Polina Molotova's Soviet factory to the Unicorn tapestries. You don't find V. getting sidetracked by nuisance emails and personal gripes about Bell Canada. The Siren plans to take a page from her pal's fragrant book and dedicate a week to a certain topic. So, next week's theme: Goofy but Glorious. Posted by Hello

Yes, dear V is amazing. And so lovable. :)

Same goes for you, dear Siren. I love your blog, too. How can one not if one does not love films!

Excited about Goofy and Glorious. Give us a teaser.

Btw, I'll get to work soon. I can't upload photos STILL and it's annoying the bejesus out of me.

I look forward to the Goofy and Glorious week! I am going to do a fashion icon month in july. One week will be the 60's gals, fashion editors/muses,film stars, and female rockstars. I have been working on getting pictures this weekend. On July 1st it will be Jean Shrimpton day. Did you still want to do a joint Jean venture? Let me know!

Yes, absolutely! I even have some pictures saved. I would love to do some others too, Julie Christie especially. LMK!

Oh, I just saw this and this post made my evening (esp. after my trip to the airport *sniff*). The best part of keeping the blog is to see things like this. It really makes the whole enterprise so much more satisfying! Thank you for such sweet words.

If you did not realize this, I have to confess that I often just keep a page of your blog on my browser and refresh to see a new post. I love everything you have to say on whatever topic it may be. To say that I am excited about Goofy and Glorious is to say nothing! I only hope to have internet connection in Kiev to read my darling Farran's reflections.

I've been thoroughly enjoying what you've done already, but I can't pretend to not be excited about Goofy But Glorious week! Like Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. But not.

I cannot wait for your thoughts this week-I imagine Carole Lombard will be in there (fingers crossed!). I always enjoy your views on MUA, and have promised myself that I will post more and lurk less-it's only fair-it's very generous of you to share this blog.
Sincerely,
Carole (madamex on MUA).
