My late wife thought Reed such a gorgeous hunk of man. It would have broken her heart to know of his death.

Watching him in 3-4 Musketeers the other night let me see again that mixture of menace and heroism. After reading your comment, I thought of Michael York, who had none of this groups looks, and his subsequent career.

I agree! Reed was drop-dead sexy, even when playing the stone-evil Bill Sykes. My favorite Reed film is "The Assassination Bureau," which critics mostly loathed. As a teenage girl, though, I thought he was the business.
