It does indeed! I can completely understand why she would get on your nerves. In fact, that is not a particularly good publicity photo.
Ah yes, another thing that people romanticize about the studio years: the publicity portrait. It wasn't always Horst or Hurrell or Hoyningen-Huene. Sometimes it was just a poor flavor-of-the-month starlet in a polka-dot playsuit trying to play with a cocker spaniel and still get the best angle on her poitrine. Or, as here, trying to look fetching on a sled surrounded by cotton-wool snow.
When I look into this photo, the film it reminds me of is Evil Dead II. The line: "I'll swallow your soul! I'll swallow your soul!"
